Got this for Christmas. My first opportunity to use it was this week. Problem is, it was missing the wrench. So I brought out my ratchet set – but the screw turned with the shaft….and would not come off. I still can’t put the blade on. What would have taken 5 minutes with my old saw has now turned into a two hour fiasco. What a waste of money.

Great product at a very reasonable price. Love it!

My thirty-plus year old Black & Decker saw quit on me in the middle of a deck building project and I needed a replacement fast. This Skil saw looked like the best similar product among the various models that I shopped. I liked this one much better than my old B&D saw. It is lighter, easier to handle and line up for the cut, and it cut through the 2 x 4’s like butter! I’m looking forward to more projects with this saw!

This saw was ready to use right out of the box (of course, after checking that the blade was securely tightened). Light, and easy to handle with good indicator scale for lining up the cut accurately. I also liked the light which signaled that the power was on for me to check before I pulled the trigger (and the safety latch to prevent inadvertent powering on before I was ready to make the cut).

Have owned for a couple of months to build a garden gate. Pretty basic cuts (2×4, 1×6) with one difficult rip. With a separately purchased rip guide, it worked perfectly. Really pleased with gate. One proviso, the blade it comes with is for rough cuts only. I needed to buy a better (more teeth) blade. Overall, great value for money.
