I bought this saw 4 moths ago to replace a Skil saw that was 30 years old and starting to show worn brushes on the motor. I used it to rebuild a large elevated deck/porch and on numerous other projects and it is amazing. I’ve never had a saw so easy and accurate to use on plywood, especially with the laser line. Worth every penny!

Even Grandma can use it!

58 year old grandma, intermediate DIY experience. I was a little leery about the assembly after reading some reviews. HOWEVER this was my experience. Removal from the box was a little tight and heavier than I expected. Saw came in a nice carry bag. Referred to the instructions to add the blade. Wrench was tight but easily pulled with the help of a screwdriver through the hole on the end. Had an issue when trying to remove the blade stud as the shaft was turning. I just tapped the blade stud with a small hammer and it loosened right up. Placed blade in position as per instructions and tightened the blade stud finger tight then the 1/8 turn with the wrench. I am making 2’x4′ raided beds for my garden from 2″x6″ lumber and needed to cut some 2′ lengths. It had been awhile since I had used a saw so I was a little unsure what to expect. Placed my pre-marked lumber in position. Used the saw guide/safety switch/ and trigger and ZIP! Cut like magic! I repeated the process 3 more times. This was definitely a great choice! Just thinking of all the projects I’ll be able to complete makes me one happy “DIYer”

I bought this yesterday to take off 2 inches from a cabinet that was to high. I wanted it for the laser. I put paint on the cabinet drew my cut line, lined up the laser and I cut started to make my cut. I cut it off the edge. Turned over the cabinet and continued to cut but the cuts didn’t line up the laser was not cutting right. I can shim up the corner. But I think if you haven’t used a laser saw before you practice before you cut your project and mess it up.

Just tried it today to cuff of some wood planks & this thing worked great. Will be using to cut some floor planks later this week. Really like the laser guide as it lines me up very well.

Had a Skil power saw for most of my lifetime. I bought this one to replace my “original saw” That was given to my daughter, At 74 years of age. Am expecting my new saw to last the rest of my life.
Skil has my proven track record for dependability and performance. Thanks Skil for the many years of service….
Really like the laser beam for straight, clear cuts. The carry bag is sturdy and also made to last a very long time. The saw and bag are of quality materials. Also bought an extra blade for precision cuts.
