Good band saw
Rating: 5
This is a really nice band saw. I have used it a lot even though I just got it. I recommend it.

Cutting aluminum nicely
Rating: 5
This band saw works perfectly for my needs. I had to make many adjustments to just get it running, but nothing too difficult. I bought an 18 tooth blade and I'm cutting aluminim with no problem.

My Band Saw
Rating: 5
Terrific little saw just wish I would have gone for the 12 inch size now. There are a lot of things my little saw won't do because of the size of the material.

Skil 9” Bandsaw

Takes an hour to assemble, is easy to adjust and use. It is sturdy. Great value for your money. I would buy it again.

Good saw for the money
Rating: 4
Nice little bandsaw for the price. You really have to spend some time getting it all adjusted properly but it works very well, especially with a higher quality blade than the one supplied with the saw. My biggest complaint is that the vacuum port is a non standard size!

Only needs one improvement.....
Rating: 4
The construction and the specifications seems to be the same as the competitors. The only thing the skil had that the other did not was the led light. The light is a joke. I am going to attempt to remove the outer lens so the light actually shines through.

Great little saw
Rating: 4
Seems to work well. I have only cut some test pieces so far. Make sure you do some minor adjustments before using. Centering and squaring blade etc.

Garbage,I advise not to buy
Rating: 1
it is useless, it is so flimsy that when u start cutting the material the band saw flexes and band comes off. Its either fiberglass or plastic

Best Saw
Rating: 5
Bought this saw to help at a few properties of the parents. This saw starts easily. I kept waiting for it to run out of gas, but it took a bit than usual-of course I was intermittently using it. Handles well. Very low vibration. Lighter that it looks.

Solid Saw, have taken it to the limits - Great!
Rating: 5
Bought the Saw in 2018, and really put it through the paces over the past 8 months. Serious tree cutting - 15 major tree's - White Pines, hardwoods (Oak, Maple, Hickory). Performed very well. Cuts amazing and just keeps going. Starts up after 5 or 6 pulls, just great to use. Not too heavy, and maneuverable.

Outstanding saw
Rating: 5
I bought this saw several years ago... I have been a loyal stihl owner and was skeptical when I purchased it but the price was very good.... I have since bought another just like it as my cut out saw... these saw both have performed flawlessly... I'm very happy with my choice...

Beyond Impressed
Rating: 5
Bought this saw to use around the house, ended up leaning on it significantly when I started my own business as an arborist. Tremendously reliable, plenty powerful. I've used it for everything from cutting firewood to pruning and removing trees. I've strapped it to a saddle and taken it up trees several times. I am beyond impressed and plan to continue to rely on Husqvarna to power my business.

Great Buy!
Rating: 4
I purchased this saw with the 18" bar and .325 chain, which suits this saw perfect. This is a very light weight and powerful saw for the price! This saw fits my occasional use needs around my property for maintenance and cutting firewood. The only complaint that I have is the bar oil leaks all over the floor when it's not in use. Other than that I am very pleased!

good vibrations!
Rating: 4
Overall I'm happy with the quality of the saw. It has cut very well for me so far with the factory chain on it. I am concerned about the fuel and bar oil consumption. It is a 1:1 ratio. Every time I'm empty on fuel the bar oil reservoir is bone dry. I'm very surprised at how much oil the saw consumes. Also, the fuel tank only supports about a 20 minute run time when cutting up firewood. I'm very surprised that it has a short run time when idling and then being used to cut through soft wood. The saw hasn't given me any kickbacks so that's great. Finally, the easy pull start is so-so at best. I've found myself already having to pull 20 or more times to get the saw running again after having to refuel. Even with the engine hot it still takes a while to get the saw fired up again. Kind of frustrating.

Mine has some issues.
Rating: 3
I've had some issues with thia saq right out of the box. First off it had to warm up for 5 minutes before it would cut anything without stalling. (Too lean so I took it to one shop... fail...worked worse than before. Not the saws fault bad warranty tune. ) the second trip I took it to a different Husqvarna dealer who tuned it better but ruined my chain testing it... they gave me a stihl chain... not impressed. At the same time my pull cord wouldn't rewind... they simply cut it off.... so when I went to use it for the second time it happened again... the pull cord assembly isn't doing its job. I've got like 2 hours on this saw and find myself dragging my old Husqvarna 359 saw with me for when this self destructs. It runs well now, cuts decent for a non pro saw and is nice and light. Its comfortable and low vibes. Its just a shame the one I have isn't up to par due to the poor dealers in my area. If I could get this worked out I'd give it 5 stars but as it stands im going to have to replace that started recoil assembly at my expense.

Extended warranty process is intentionally difficult. Chain seems to "stretch" faster than other saws, and there appears to be no adjustment for the oiler. Starts reliably everytime and cuts great.

leaks oil, hard to start, bar gets too hot
Rating: 2
From day 1 it leaked bar oil. I took it back to the authorized dealer and repairshop and they said it was normal. After sitting for a few months about 1/2 cup of oil had accumulated under my saw in the case. I took it back and they replaced, under warranty, the pump piston, pump cylinder, oil hose, and oil pump. It still leaks oil. There is no way to adjust the flow of bar oil. After less than two years, sometimes it won't start, even though I have always run fuel stabilizer to try to prevent carburetor fouling. The bar and chain also get excessively hot and smoke when cutting rounds.

Not as powerful as claimed
Rating: 2
I had an older Husq 350 and it was a beast. Had it for 15 years and had no problem cutting through large red oak or other trees with a diameter greater than the bar length (18in). This saw bogs through pine that is greater than 18in. Furthermore you can't get a larger guide bar for it that is >20in. Be that as it may, with an 18inch bar on my old 350 I could perform two cuts to get through trees 24 in in diameter. This 450 struggles to do this and for some reason it cuts way off to one side and is difficult to line up cuts. You'd think it might be the chain, but I've been running saws for decades and know how to sharpen. Overall I am very disappointed in the power. Plus it is difficult to start. To top it off, I had a Rancher 455 that my father in law bought me before he passed away, and because my old Husq 350 was so good, I didn't open the new 455 saw because the 350 was still good. So when I finally retired my 350, I found out after the warranty that the 455 will not stay running unless the choke is on. Brought it to two Husqvarna dealerships and both said I'd be better of just getting a new saw, despite this 455 being new, but out of warranty. So that is how I then bought this 450. It at least runs, but it is difficult to start and very week. I don't think I'll ever buy another Husqvarna.
