I literally bought this for the battery. I had the 20v max weed eater first and wanted an extra battery, saw this and thought, no brainer. I actually haven't used it yet but my son-in-law has one just like it and he loves it. I haven't had a Black and Decker product fail me yet.

My husband said he would like to have a circular saw and our anniversary is in September. I hope this is the one he wanted because it is built sturdy and looks like it will be durable. We shall see in a few days!!!

Does the trick for smaller jobs and tight areas

This 5 1/2 inch hand saw is one of the best products I've ever owned. Small, light-weight, but durable for just about any small to medium woodworking projects one might be considering. I've cut through 1/4" and 1/2" plywood with ease with this saw. Two by fours are a cinch, quick and easy. The 20V Lithium battery provides plenty of power to get the job done. However, depending on the type of wood one is cutting and how much needs to be cut, the battery will drain quicker.
I discovered that; after constant hard use for about an hour and a half, the saw would stop cutting through the piece of plywood, indicating that it needed a charge on the battery. It took about an hour to recharge the battery. I highly recommend purchasing several extra batteries and keep them on charge so that one can continue on with their work instead of having to stop and wait for the battery to charge.
If you're a person who likes to do small projects where a lot of wood cutting is involved, and you don't like hefting a heavier electric circular saw, this light-weight little saw will not only get the job done, but won't wear your hand/arm out while doing it. This saw is light enough for the average woman to handle and not get fatigued in the arms during use.

I live in a Condo and needed s small circular saw for small DIY projects. This fit the bill perfectly although I really wish it came with s storage case or bag.

I was extremely skeptical at first to go with Black and Decker, since most people use other brands but this outperformed my DeWALT, Bosch, & Makita! And it was so much less expensive. After a friend helped me build my deck with it, he went out and bought the same one. It really is a powerful saw, battery lasts forever on a single charge. I have to admit I was stuck in my ways “brand names” but Black and Decker is back!

I bought the set. It came with the circular saw, the drill, two 20v batteries and the fast charger. I'll say straight away. These tool are for 'light' duty. The drill is not good. I own 18v dewalt cordless drills as well and the dewalt is by far better. And the circular saw is not good either. I just bought a house and in the middle of remodel. So with that said I'm having to cut 2×2, 2×4, and plywood. this saw gets stuck, just shuts off in the middle of a cut. And it kills the battery within 15 minutes of cut time. keep in mind these are brand new batteries and tools. With as much as these cost even being from Wal-Mart should have a bit better quality than they do. Some people cannot afford high quality tools, etc so they rely on black and Decker, or other Wal-Mart specials. With all of that said, the drill and saw would be ideal for someone in the drywall business as it would probably handle well with this softer material.

Did not come with necessary piece to operate

Bought this for my husband's birthday for $73.00 and the protection plan for 3 years. Upon opening the box, it did not include the blade, when it should have.
Now when I look at the product, its even less than what I paid for it, and I still don't have a blade for it.
