very good tool. works well, light, comfortable, safe. despite being a tool for light use, I've done a lot of framing with it. When it warms it shuts off by itself, but you can rest assured that when it cools down it works again. this is one of the tools that I would take to a desert island, can not miss. Pleasant surprise, great deal!

I did a little research through DeWalt circular saws and decided this was the one I wanted to get. The hardware store didn't have the tool-only model in stock, but they did have this one, with the included 5Ah battery. I've only gotten a small amount of use on it so far, but it has been GREAT so far! The included blade hasn't struggled to cut through the various wood projects I've done, and the battery charge seems to last forever. A really powerful saw and bang for your buck

Gets More Use Than A Corded

Works as well as any corded circular saw I have owned. Being cordless allows you so much more flexibility to use for jobs that would have previously required you to run back to the shop or to drag out long extension cords to build on site. I purchased this circular saw for my husband. It's been one of the best purchases I've made. This saw is amazing AND CORDLESS. The convenience of taking this saw wherever you need is priceless. He loves that the 20V battery has a long run time and can be interchanged with other DeWalt power tools. I highly recommend any carpenter or DIY person purchase this circular saw. This saw not only comes with the great reputation of the DeWalt name but satisfaction in owning a quality product. I wish I would've purchased this years ago. No more cords!

I purchased a "red" version of this saw and it worked, my boss bought the dewalt and the difference between the two was night and day. The ballance , the cuts and the sight for cutting.
