Great for the price
Rating: 5
Have had this for several years and I must say it's a tough guy. Cutting a LOT of 100 YEAR OLD VERY SEASONED WOOD reclaimed from an old Texas factory it really took it on great. Still runs like a champ. The lazer is only thing that could use improvement, which by now it may have been. I'm quite happy with it and when it goes to happy cutting ground in the sky I will be buying another... so keep it excellent (don't cut corners in mfg!).

Log lasting miter saw
Rating: 5
I bought a Black and Decker miter saw many years ago, I have used it more than I can tell you. I have been building furniture and doing remodeling for many, many years. This miter saw is still running great after all this time. When I bought this saw, there were not many miter saws on the market at that time. The B and D was my best choice.

Great basic saw.

From researching this saw does not have all the bells and whistles as other saws do. However for the price and performance of this saw you can't go wrong picking this on up. The laser really helps maintain clean cuts, and the saw has plenty of power! Black and Decker is such a overlooked brand and I'd totally recomend it to anyone looking to enter into a power tool line/brand!

Good Saw
Rating: 5
Great saw for the price. Solid saw for the DIY person. I'm not a huge fan of the blade that came with it, but blades are replaceable. Use it until it wears out and pick what you prefer next time.

Cuts every time, but never square
Rating: 3
This is my second saw of this model; the first was returned for the same problem I have with my current one. The blade is not square to the shoe and the shoe is warped. Other than that, every time I pull the trigger the blade spins and the lasers turns on. The build quality is very good; other than the saw being crooked. When following a line or the laser, the saw bogs down because the blade tries to work its way to the right instead of staying true to the cut. It also doesn't cut straight vertically (see photo). I would recommend this saw to someone else if all you need are rough cuts. If you want a saw that can cut straight, this is not a good choice.
