Rating: 5 I'm assembling kitchen cabinets so I needed a cheap saw for one project. This cuts great with the included blade. No tool needed to insert and remove the blade. I have cut 1/4" and 1/2" plywood and hardwood. I also did a curved cut by switching the selector on the side. It works that way if you go slow. Straight cuts go fast. The laser light does not seem to be helping my cuts as to the accuracy of straight lines, but I wasn't banking on the light anyhow! I like the speed, and flexibility of this saw. I just need to learn how to accurately cut a straight line when cross cutting! Rating: 5 This saw replace a Skil jigsaw that was 30 years old. I didn't want to spend 150 dollars on a high end saw that I will only used 10 times a years. This is a very good saw. Select the correct blade and this will cut neatly and quickly. I bought the Skil variety pack at one of the big home stores. I have used it on 3/4" red oak and 3/4" plywood, no problems. I work with plywood a lot and this saw finally allows me to cut a straight line without a guide or rip fence. The tool less blade change is a great feature. No more hex key to keep track of. The motor along with the orbital action is plenty strong for cutting thicker stock.
