Bosch Tools are High Quality
Rating: 5
Excellent quality. I have several Bosch cordless tools and the technology and quality is what I am looking for. I Would recommend Bosch. There are several good brands of tools to choose from. With my research I settled on bosch tools and glad I did.

Small, light and powerful
Rating: 5
works as well as my corded bosch jig saw. i rarely use the corded one anymore as i own a few 6ah and 2 of the core 6.3ah and can cut all day with just the two 6.3ah. i have had to let the tool cool down between cuts when working it that hard but i have to do that with my corded one as well. in fact, i don't think the corded tool gets as hot with prolonged cutting as the corded one. i wish there were a variable speed dial and the ability to lock the trigger in the on position but am glad to trade those features for no cord. i have used this to cut stainless steel, steel, aluminum, and wood based sheet goods of all sorts. my main use is finishing inside corner cuts in sheet goods and wish there were a dust collection adaptor kit available for this tool but bosch tells me that there isn't dust collection available for this tool. the base looks exactly the same design as their other jig saws so i may be able to use another model's adaptor kit but i haven't tested any of that yet. i have had mediocre luck with my cordless vac hose held near the blade during cuts and that technique is better than no dust collection when working indoors. i haven't found the run time or power to have any shortcomings at all, even for a brushed motor tool. there is a lock for the trigger to keep it from accidentally being depressed and a very fast blade brake that i think is a really useful feature. the trigger is variable speed and the manual describes this to be used to control the speed during cuts. I have found that when using the slower speed range or maintaining trigger position other than fully depressed, for cutting something like stainless steel as an example, that i have a little bit of trouble maintaining the speed when making curved or radius cuts. straight cuts and maintaining trigger position have been no problem for me in any range of trigger position. i rarely use a jigsaw for mitered cuts so ive never adjusted the baseplate angle and it arrived set square with the blade. i haven't had any problems with making straight-edge guided cuts so the rolling blade guide seems to work well. the always on blower does a good job and keeps the cut line visible. the orbital control for the blade is a nice feature for cutting different types of materials. i own many tools that can cross over and do the same jobs as each other in certain circumstances but i have found a jig saw to be a crucial part of my collection. now after owning this cordless jigsaw, i wish i had bought it instead of my corded one for my particular use which is 80% onsite and 20% shop.

Fantastic as a general purpose jig
Rating: 5
Fantastic general purpose operation & features with new 18V Li-Ion 6.3A Core batteries w/ some minor reservations! The splinter gaurd was difficult to put on & remove. Bottom cutting plate is plastic; would have preferred metal with plastic plate as included accessory

Great jigsaw
Rating: 5
I bought this jigsaw to use at my cabinet making job. Since I already have a few tools using the 18V battery from Bosch, I decided to buy a cordless jigsaw instead of a corded jigsaw. It cuts just like a corded jigsaw, I absolutely love the freedom of no cord! My co workers are asking to borrow it! I don't know how long a battery lasts but since I have 6 batteries...and the charger is relatively quick at recharging, I never run out of power. I don't think I can ever go back to a corded jigsaw!!

compact, light and effective
Rating: 5
I've only had this saw a few days, but have been very impressed with its ease of use and effectiveness. Since I had a spare battery and charger from another kit purchase, I just bought the bare tool, which made the cost more reasonable. It comes with three saw blades, but I also bought a blade set, T18CHC, which came with a nice box for all the blades, and an L-BOXX-2 to put everything in. It all fits nicely. My only problem is that now I have a bunch of different types of saw blades and need to figure out which one to use for each job. The Bosch online Power Tools and Accessories catalog has some useful information on pages 212 and following. I tried the scroll blade on some scrap wood and it works great for making curved patterns. It is really easy to do.

Fantastic little jig saw.
Rating: 5
Very compact for a cordless. Very smooth operation. Plows through tight radius cuts. I tested it on 3/4” plywood and I could not believe how effortless and accurate it was.
