This product is simple to use

I am a finish carpenter and do mostly kitchen installations. I find a missing feature to be an advantage... The saw has no orbital cut motion it prevents chip out and splintering if the material which is better for the finish work. I love this tool

Like it a lot!
Rating: 5
A basic jig saw that does 95% of what needs done really well. Doesn't have the bevel setting but seldom need that option any way. It's ergonomic feel is well balanced and I find it is better than most jig saws on the market. Very happy with it!

This along with all Rigid tools are great products

I own this Jig saw head along with all the job max tools. They are all great and with the Lifetime Warranty there is not better deal on the market. I would highly recommend any and all Rigid tools

Blade guide roller
Rating: 4
Great tool to use for home projects. Only issue I noticed is that the blade guide roller is about 0.5 cm misaligned from the blade clamp assembly causing wear on the blade.

Very good, not great
Rating: 4
I have many Ridgid tools which are top level in terms of durability and function. The JobMax is a small step below this level. The balance, power, versatility and function of the jig saw head is quite good but not great. Mine is new (≈9/2015) and I have not noted the the safety switch issue that others have; it is on or off and stays in that position. Mine is the corded unit and it does not seem to lack power for an appropriate jig saw purpose. Where this tool really shines is having several good power tools in one small, light tool bag. The cat's meow when traveling in a small truck camper.

Bi-Direction Lock Off Lever Problem
Rating: 1
The Bi-Directional Lock Out Lever is not an operator friendly design. It really requires one hand to activate it while the other hand is holding the tool. A lock out lever like the one on the Reciprocating Saw Head makes more sense. Or, no lock out lever is preferable. I like the ergonomics of the jig saw itself, but the bi-directional lock out caused me to return the head. It really needs to be redesigned. I have other heads for the JobMax and I do like them.

Not well suited for battery powered jobmax handle.
Rating: 1
The jigsaw consumes so much power that it basically runs the battery down ~three times faster than I can charge a 18v battery. Batteries are <12 old with light use. Nifty concept and all but I returned it and bought a dedicated (corded) jigsaw (for only ~$10 more than this attachment.) It did seem to work fine otherwise., It is Just not well matched with a cordless device. Ridgid really should somehow recommend this attachment be use with the corded handle only or risk more dissatisfied customers.

It requires three hands to work with.
Rating: 1
I found it to time consuming messing with it maybe if you had it all one hand ✋ friendly like the first reviewer said. I returned mine as well.

Another good tool from Milwaukee
Rating: 5
Great saw. The LED light really illuminates the line but I removed the 2 plastic shields that seemed to obscure the line. The cord is sufficiently long so an extension cored isn't needed . Variable speed work well and the cut is clean. I'm very pleased and would recommend this saw to anyone contemplating this type of saw. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
