Outstanding Saw

I have many Bosch tools. I had 3 other saws prior to this. Best saw I ever used. Using a Freud 100 tooth blade for straight and miter cuts. I use a thick kerf blade for bevel cuts. Amazing results! The saw tracks without a hitch. Dust collection is great. This was money well spent.

Awesome Saw

I was rebuilding my deck and needed a new mitre saw to replace my old 10" mitre saw. I did my research and am glad I chose the Bosch GCM12SD. Very well made, very detail oriented. Nice features overall. Impressed with how the slide mechanism works as compared to the other models out there. My only issue is the saw is a little heavy but that is to be expected with a saw of this quality. This saw should last me for a while!

My new favorite tool

I bought this about a month ago to tackle a wainscot project at home which had 8"+ wide baseboards. I quickly recognized/appreciated the thoughtfulness of the design and quality of construction. Miter and bevel adjustments are precise and intuitive. The dual axis mechanical arm movement is very smooth - great design and execution. When connected to my vacuum, the dust removal was pretty effective. Cuts were clean and precise. Overall, very impressed with this product!!

Excellent Engineeering

I don't often feel compelled to write a review. That said, this saw and the team who developed this say deserve praise. I don't like to make public my great “stupid” mements, but ego aside, I dropped this saw from 4 feet above the ground on concrete. I was sick to my stomach. Minutes later when I plugged it in, relief swept over me as I began testing the saw. All cuts remained plumb and square. All bevels and angles were precise. The slide srill pulled smooth as silk and true. Lastly, the sound of a motor running with precision and ample power remained pitch perfect. Thanks guys, for saving me from myself and from what, with any other brand compound sliding miter saw, would have been hours of readjustments or a whopping repair bill. Need I say more?

Excellent saw

This saw is a solid machine. The axial glide system is a perfect and very precise design. There is no side to side play like other saws. The saw cuts are perfect.
I was amazed at how perfectly all the adjustments were right out of box. It was perfectly square to fence and base.
All the controls for bevel and miter are right up front and easy to set.
Saw is on heavy side but I have it setup on the Bosch T4B gravity rise saw stand. This stand folds easily and makes it convenient to move around.
The saw easily hooks up to my vac system and when connected collects dust perfectly.
Saw has lots of power and is quieter then most saws I have used before.
Overall I am glad I bought this Bosch saw and stand. It will work perfectly in the woodshop and with stand easily taken out on jobs.

I bought my second 12” Bosch mitre saw because the first one I bought almost 9 years ago has been amazing. Gets used all the time by employees carpentry framing and finish work. Tough as nails.
I was expecting the new saw to be the exact same but they had to mess with it , have made the hand and safety on the trigger terribly awkward.
Still a great saw just not as good as it used to be

Decent saw...should be nicer for the money

I've dreamed about this saw for years. For what it cost, this saw should be twice as nice. It's super heavy, has no carrying handle on top, dust goes everywhere even when hooked to a vacuum. Saw is quite difficult to get square as well. For as much as these things cost and they don't include a light or laser either. Kinda silly. But it's a neat saw.

Does what they say

Had the saw just over two weeks and have few complaints. It's done everything you said it can do and I'm happy with the purchase. I only wish that somehow it were lighter and easier to transport and move. It matches well with the folding miter saw stand.

Horrible changes

Just picked up a new saw yesterday, the new design of the handle and saftey switch is awful. The grip is to thick, the sliding switch is in a god awful position. Not to mention the downgrades from the lever locks for the fences to needing to tighten down the little screw if you want to move them.
The product design team truly screwed the pooch on this one, will be looking into swapping in a properly designed old handke with dual side safety buttons but if that's not going to work It's getting boxed back up and promptly returned.
