This saw had features most others charge more for. Works well at a terrific price!

No frills, simple and heavy, great purchase.

On a budget, I purchased this mitre saw to replace a 7" Delta bought back in the 80's or 90's. I hated that Delta from day one. This saw is perfect for an occasional carpenter like me. I bought the tooth lock model ( stay away from ball-bearing lock is what the Delta taught me ) and it came with design upgrades not seen in pics. This saw is undervalued, and 10" blade is perfect as 12" is getting too large. It is soo much quieter than my Delta, smooth in all operations. The beauty of this saw is that it is NOT high-tech, rather simple heavy-duty. It has a larger footprint than it's high-tech rivals but I do not care. The price is so attractive that I also purchased the mating stand, which works awesome see that review. No more shall I bend over to work, no more making custom stand off's to support long timber. No more headache's when mitering lumber. Already looking at purchasing other products from this MFR, for no-frills woodworking tools.

Five Stars for General International
Rating: 5
Great product and a great price. This product is worth every penny I spent. I would recommend this company and their products. Spend the extra money and get the General International miter saw stand to go with it. Total cost for the MS3005 model with stand: ($99 + $55). This included shipping for free. I will be buying more products from General International in the future!!

Good saw, not great but good. Two problems. 1. Never could get laser adjusted to right spot but don't really need it. 2. The vacuum port seems to be worthless(may work ok with industrial type vacuum system, but would not work with my shop vac.) Even tried moving vac line down to back side of the cut but all the saw dust still blew out the back of the saw.

thankfully the stock holding clamp is removable, interferes with angle cutting. dont forget to pull out and lock the knob on the right, or your saw will lock into place on each cut. comparable to other light to mid duty saws ive used on job site like hitachi. wish it would tilt both directions. has plastic knobs on the lock downs. the blade delivered with saw is a rough cut blade take your time on trim cutting or change to a higher tooth blade. otherwise i like it just fine.

General International Ms3005 10" Sliding Miter Saw
Rating: 2
I purchased this saw to replace a 20+ years old Craftsman miter saw that finally died. This saw seems cheaply made with lots of plastic adjustment knobs that will likely fail over time with heavy use. It comes with a really bad bare bones manual that doesn't mention the laser at all and is somewhat obscure about many aspects of use. More importantly it won't cut completely through a piece of wood leaving approximately 1/8 - 3/16 at the bottom of the cut, I tried looking online for some way to adjust the blade but couldn't find any fix. Perhaps if you're on a budget and do weekend DIY projects this saw might fit your needs. I wouldn't recommend this saw.
