Excellent! Saw
Rating: 5
My first powered Miter Saw. I did quite a lot of research And ultimately decided on this model. I purchased the stand along with the saw. Amazed how easy it is to move around...like a hand truck. Hoping it lasts for many years.

Great first mitre saw
Rating: 5
I am just getting into woodworking and needed a mitre saw. I found this on sale at a very god price. I have not had a chance to use it much yet but so far I am loving it. I especially like the zero clearance feature with the slide toward the front instead of the rear, so that it can be placed against a wall. The only think that I am not in love with is how far the table and miter adjustment stick out the front, but I suppose this cannot be helped and maintain the cut depth. I have not yet used it with a shop vac but the included dust bag seems to do a pretty good job, better than I expected. This saw was a decent buy at the original price but the sale price made it a no-brainer.

Great Saw
Rating: 5
I bought this saw to replace an older model that I can't get parts for anymore. My older saw had been rebuilt/ refurbished three times and I bought it used. I am Thoroughly satisfied with this newer version. I really like the fact that I don't have to reach around the blade to adjust the bevel plus the fact that the saw slides ion the rails...not the saw and rails sliding through the base. As such I don't have to keep the saw so far from what's behind it. The gradual start as compared to the jerking start when I pull the trigger is also a plus. If I had the money I would but another one for home. I thoroughly recommend this product to everybody who is thinking about buying a Good Miter Saw.

Good Product and Price
Rating: 4
This was an upgrade from my starter compound miter saw. This one had the improved functions and features I wanted. The employees at a local wood working store recommended a different brand and model but it was about twice the price of the Hitachi.

Want to love it, but...
Rating: 3
I've been heavily using this Hitachi C10FSHC for five (5) months now and here is my summary. Pros: - Love the soft start (feels much more controlled) - Zero clearance - Laser, while finniky and a little wonky, is helpful and at least accurate when blade is near the work - LED light is helpful in various conditions - Front bevel lock is really convenient - Safty switch - if it's going to have one, this is in the perfect spot on the handle for left handed cuts - Just feels like a nice saw Cons: - Fence system... Fail. This is the biggest problem. The thing isn't even close to square (see pic). The bottom sections are good, however once you add the top, sliding sections it can NOT be trusted. This is fine for 90 degree cuts, but will mess up every simple or compound angle. - Laser is all kinds of weird. Seems like it was fine out of the box, then it just stopped lining up correctly. It's accurate once you get on the work, but up to that point it's way off. Can't figure out how to make the thing align right. Adjusting it is a sad experience, super course. - Upper, sliding fence system gets in the way of right leaning bevel cuts - You can cut the fence if you slide it in to far (duh) - Bevel angle gauge can be difficult to read when dust gets behind the wide plastic marker Typical: - Dust collection is so-so In total, I really want to love the saw, a lot of potential, however it misses the mark for a person that is particular like I am. Three stars primarily due to a the fence system being weighted much more than the other items noted. I cannot recommend this saw due to the inaccuracy of cuts - cheaper saws can be purchased to achieve the same quality. My review is based on a sample of one saw.
