Well balanced
Rating: 5
I got this saw month ago it feels so good on hand you can use it one hand without problem. Cutting speed is great for any material. It's compact but it has the power to do alot. Great for over head work since it's so lightweight. Not like traditional recoprationsaws it's not front heavy and doesn't pull you down. So if you are on the ladder you don't need both hands to cut. You can easily cut with one hand.makes the workplace more safer. Great saw

Light weight, well balanced one-handed saw!
Rating: 5
This saw is extremely useful on jobsite because it is so light, well-balanced and easy to use even with one hand. It has plenty of power and it cuts really well especially when using the Bosch blades which are made in Switzerland. Recommended!

I was required to cut a small shed building in half and the GSA18V-083B did the job for me without changing the battery. What a great saw

very underpowered or poor motor
Rating: 2
I purchased this August 2016, and have only used it a few times since. This saw is seriously under powered. It is great on PVC, It is OK when used on small branches (1" or less), and usually ok on 2x4's, though I have had it stall/stop on a couple boards. Where this saw really falls short is if you need to cut through nails. Using the appropriate metal blade it stalls about 4 times cutting through a single 16 penny nail, which is very disappointing. I love the size and weight, but the saw seriously under performs for it's price.

Died in 6 months

I am a master plumber, my son purchased this for me to go along with the 18v kit I had purchased myself. Saw quit working 6 months later, luckily I never registered like an idiot so I get to fix it if possible. Liked it while it worked. My brute hammer drill barely made it a year so I'm starting to suspect these will not hold up to my work. Didn't register it either yeah me. If you buy them and use them for work make sure you register them.

M12 Corless Hackzall, Lithium-Ion.
Rating: 5
Nice little hackzall for working in remote areas, and attic or crawl spaces, excellent for plumber o electrical work, and any other uses like tree trimming, or any other stuff that need to be cut, without bundle of extension cords, and LED lights just what every tool need when working in low lighted area or no light at all, I use then as a flashlight and tool, lightweight, compact design, speed, and quality, all in one, and I will definitely recommend this to anyone who need to enjoy working with tools.

Small, light, and easy to use. Would recommend.
Rating: 5
I really like how small and light this thing is for jobs around the house. Much easier to grab than my big corded sawzall for small projects. The battery doesn't last long enough for big jobs, but with a spare you shouldn't have a problem. I have used it to cut wood, metal, plastic, and drywall over the past year and a half. It works great on everything so far. I have the soft bag case for it and the 3/8 drill/driver, but wish there were an option for a hard case for storage.

Great for small projects
Rating: 4
As an Electrician, I bring this little guy in for service call work or the instances when I need just a few cuts. It offers terrific capability in a super small package. If you've got to cut some drywall, make a few cuts in studs or flooring, or you just need a super small tool then this is your go to recip saw. For major remodels I go to my 18V Fuel saws all. My only critisisms after a year of continual use is the amount of vibration the saw produces while trying to cut conduit and the fact that the batteries are very hard to remove from the tool. I had another trades guy tell me he has the same problem. Overall I love the tool and originally thought it would be just a toy. Definately not a toy. Based on my like for this tool I plan to upgrade to the Fuel version. Nice job Milwaukee.

I purchased this baby because holding my dads big sawzall over my head for a long time while cutting sucked but, now this on is lighter and more mobile and my dad now wants one for himself cause i'm tired of lending him mine for the same thing too bad get your own dad!!

Don't waste your money.
Rating: 1
Use the saw a total of about three hours before motor started cutting in and out and finally it quit all together..thought about getting it repaired until I read the comments about the same problem I had. Decided not to wast the money. I also have the inspection camera that allow me the uses before it quit. Bought another brand and have had no problems. I have most of the other twelve vot Milwaukee tools and have had no problems with them and they get used a lot.

Not durable
Rating: 1
Motor burns up very easily under just moderate use. Runs but then quits working under load. This has happened twice in 4 years. Very disappointed in this Milwaukee tool. Did not expect Black & Decker performance and quality from a Milwaukee tool. Have the other M12 tools and never a problem, love them. Save your money on the Hacksaw - its not a good quality tool

Junk
Rating: 1
The recip saw would be perfect if the motor did not burn up. Sent in the saw for repairs, and it cost almost as much as a new complete kit with case and battery's. The repaired saw has already burnt up within 4 weeks of being rebuilt. If you dont need to use it as a recip saw its great. You might be able to use it as a hammer. the 1/4' impact driver, angle drill, multi tool, 3/8" drill, 1/4" screw gun, Radio, Jig saw and 3/8" driver are good tools to buy. Dont buy the jacket either, it wont last long.
