Rating: 4 Got this saw as a first time scroller and was really pleased with the results. Did a lot of cutting on 3/4" oak and it did just fine. It's a little "jumpy" if you don't have it well anchored, but does fine if you do. Love the 2-direction blade feature. It really saved the day on my project as I was able to cut 22" pieces in continuous cut. I would caution not to over-tension the arm. I broke an ear off the lower blade holder, but WEN replaced it under warranty quickly and with no hassle. It's not the most convenient for using plain end blades, but for the money it's worth a little hassle. Pin end blades are a breeze. by Rforer on 2017-03-05T16:00:00 Cuts good for the price. Rating: 4 I like the price and the overall performance for that price compared to more expensive options. There is no place to store an Allen wrench or blades. Access to the lower blade holder is difficult due to the cramped space. The quality of the blade holders for non-pinned blades is barely adequate. You definitely have to clean any lubricant and rough up the blade tips to have great success. The blade tension mechanism works OK once you get used to it. High quality non-pinned blades perform MUCH better on thicker stock.
