I bought my saw when Bosch introduced the “knuckle” design to replace the slide type saw. The knuckle design is a very creative and innovative design feature. But they offered a great deal with the slide design and the gravity lift saw stand. I bought both and this saw has been a real workhorse in my personal shop. It’s dual blade adjustment allows me to adjust in either direction. Coupled with the horizontal angle adjustment there isn’t any angle I can’t cut and cut accurately. The degree angle markings are spot on and when you lock the saw in the angle shown on the scale, that is the angle you get. The methods and means for making angle adjustments are very easy to make. And the saw stand has extensions that allow for processing long boards. The 12″ blade and powerful motor can cut through some pretty thick pieces of lumber without bogging down. The saw has built in safety features that well protect the user from saw blade injury as well as kick-back. If you have a lot of parts to cut that are the same measurement, it is easy to set up the saw and stand for quick production cuts, cutting time in half for most miter saws. Bosch power tools are well respected among woodworkers and a must for any shop.

I bought this saw a year ago. I have been eyeballing it since it came out. My forst hesitation to buying one was that the technology was new to the miter saw world. After reading enough about ti and asking user i took the plunge. Im a Pro and my shop demands accurate and dependable tools.

The saw works as advertised and has no obvious flaws. We cut off a lot 12″-14″ boards and it has increased our productivity a great deal, it was worth the money for that reason alone. The saw accuracy is a 98 out of a 100 points, the blade deflects a bit when cutting wide boards.

The only real drawback is the dust collection. It’s horrible at best I have tried everything to make it better, but it;s still bad. I’m sure this isn’t news to them. I spoke with a Bosh rep just the other day at a tool show and he agreed.

All in all a great saw especially if you have to cut off wide boards on a regular basis. It’s even a reasonable price now since they moved it to China for manufacturing (acccording to the Bosh rep)

I purachses the 12 In. Dual Bevel Slide Miter Saw a few years back and instantly it became one of my favorite tools. I use it for various woodworking projects and numerous home improvement projects. Once you figure out how to adjust it for the task at hand, it becomes an incredibly precise and easy to use saw. It keeps amazing me on its versatility and easy of use. I have recommended it to friends and would recommend it to anyone.

Bosch has left their competition in the dust with this saw. Ease of use & accuracy over traditional double rails saw. The only thing that would make this saw any better would be weight reduction, but even that isn’t too bad considering that we are talking about a 12″ slide saw. I would recommend this saw to anyone that want an easy to use accurate saw.

I like the additional width I can cut with the glide arm. It was easy to put together. It is a little heavier than i was used to, but on a portable base its no big deal.
